Dr. Gamze Erdem Türkelli
Principal Investigator
Dr. Gamze Erdem Türkelli is an Associate Research Professor at the Law & Development Research Group, Faculty of Law at the University of Antwerp. Her work is situated in the interface of international law, human rights law and sustainable development. She conducts research into transnational human rights obligations (including business and human rights), hybrid public-private actors in international law such as multistakeholder partnerships, ‘innovative’ development financing, children’s rights as well as accountability and responsibility.

Dr. Rossella De Falco
Postdoctoral Researcher
Rossella De Falco is a postdoctoral researcher at the Law & Development Research Group of the University of Antwerp. She previously worked at the intersection of law and policy as Head of Right to Health Campaign at Just Fair UK as well as Programme Officer on the Right to Health at the Global Initiative for Economic, Social and Cultural Rights. Over these years, she focused on the realisation of the right to health across different contexts, including in Africa, Europe and Latin America. She holds a Ph.D. (Cum Laude) in Human Rights, Society and Multi-level Governance from the University of Padova, an LL.M. In Economic, Social and Cultural Rights from the University of Essex and an MA in International Affairs from Johns Hopkins University. She publishes regularly on topics related to international human rights law, global health and health inequalities.

Yasmin Moselhy
PhD Researcher - Work Package 2
Yasmin Moselhy is an Egyptian qualified lawyer and Doctoral Scholarship Holder at the Law & Development Research Group of the University of Antwerp, where she explores the intersection of Multistakeholder Partnerships for public goods delivery and human rights. She holds an LL.M. from the University of Cambridge and a Bachelor of Laws from the German University in Cairo. Her PhD research is focused on Work Package 2 of the GENESIS Project, under the supervision of Dr. Gamze Erdem Türkelli.

João Felipe Oliveira Fernandes
PhD Researcher - Work Package 3
João Felipe Fernandes is a Brazilian-qualified lawyer and Doctoral Scholarship Holder at the Law & Development Research Group of the University of Antwerp. His research examines the interface between International Human Rights Law and Multistakeholder Partnerships. More specifically, it investigates how Multistakeholder Partnerships working on the provision of public goods impact the operationalisation of human rights entitlements. He holds a Master’s degree in Public International Law from the University of Amsterdam (Cum Laude) and a Bachelor of Laws from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro. With experience across private and public sectors, he has worked with human rights, project management, sustainable development, and environmental law.

María Alejandra Bermúdez
PhD Researcher - Work Package 4
María Alejandra Bermúdez is an International Relations specialist and Doctoral Scholarship Holder at the Law & Development Research Group of the University of Antwerp. She holds a Master’s degree (Summa Cum Laude) in International Governance and Diplomacy from Sciences Po Paris, a Specialization Degree in Human Rights Law and International Humanitarian Law, and a Bachelor of International Relations from Universidad del Rosario in Bogotá, Colombia. She worked at the International Organisation for Migration (IOM), at the Human Rights and International Affairs Council of the Presidency of Colombia, and at the Business for Inclusive Growth coalition in Paris, in partnership with the OECD. Her multidisciplinary background contributes to Work Package 4 of the GENESIS project, which focuses on human rights accountability for multistakeholder partnerships in sustainable development.
